I have to admit, this is one of my “go to” recipes when I’m not in the mood for what I have planned on the menu or we are running behind on getting dinner started. It comes together in less than 30 minutes and yes, it can be low carb when using Dreamfield’s macaroni noodles. This easy ghoulash can be customized to make it hotter by adding in more Tobasco sauce when you are cooking or each person can add a little more on their serving! I normally have all the ingredients for this dish on hand so it makes it quick to get it prepared and on the table!

The first thing you need to do is brown some ground beef along with onions and garlic. I normally keep ground beef in the freezer and I thaw it out a bit in the microwave and then move forward with browning it.
Meanwhile, in another pot cook your macaroni noodles according to the directions on the package.

Once the ground beef is browned completely, drain off any remaining fat. Add in the remaining ingredients except the pasta: green pepper, a can of diced tomatoes, Tobasco sauce, salt, and pepper. Heat to boiling and reduce the heat and simmer about 20 minutes.

Add in the macaroni noodles and stir to combine. Serve immediately. You can add in more tobasco sauce on each individual portion if you have eaters that prefer a stronger flavor.

Easy Beef Ghoulash

1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, diced
5 drops Tobasco sauce
1 16oz can diced tomatoes (don’t drain)
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 cups cooked elbow macaroni, use Dreamfields to keep this dish low carb

1. Brown the beef with the onion and garlic. Drain remaining fat.

2. Add all remaining ingredients, with the exception of the pasta.

3. Heat to boiling and then reduce the heat to simmer for 20 minutes.

4. Add in the hot, cooked, pasta and stir to combine.
