I did as much research as possible before setting up how I wanted the garden laid out. I tried to put things near each other that were companions and away from each other that didn’t get along well. Below is the layout that I have for my garden this year. The peas, lettuce, strawberries, beets, carrots, garlic, and potatoes are already out. I got all my seeds and supplies from Burpee Gardening. They have a great guarantee and good quality products.
We had a few nights of frost this past week, so I had to cover the strawberries just for the night. I had to improvise with what I had. So far they are doing well and hopefully no more frost!
I’m a little worried about the potatoes and garlic as I have noticed I have a drainage issue in the garden that I’m going to have to address. I added in claybreaker to help with the rows that haven’t been planted yet. I’m researching drainage options at the moment to salvage what I’ve got in there from the high moisture content.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
