This is one of the easiest recipes that I think I will ever post for you. It is a great way to fix some fried rice to go with a meal when you are in a hurry and it really tastes great! I love fixing Hibachi at home and also various Sweet and Sour dishes and are great with a side of fried rice. Often my planning keeps me from fixing rice a day ahead of time, so I discovered this quick and easy way to get the same taste.

First, if you have the Birds Eye Steamer Rice and Veggies in your local grocery store’s freezer section – this is the key ingredient. Pick up a few bags of this and keep them on hand, especially when they are on a great sale. To prepare the rice, steam the package according to the directions. Once completed, I pour the rice and veggies into a bowl and let it cool down in the fridge or freezer if I’m in a hurry for about 20 minutes in the fridge or 5-7 minutes in the freezer.

On the stove, in a saucepan, heat up 1 Tbsp of Sesame oil and once it is hot, add in 1 clove of garlic minced. Saute that for approximately a minute. Add in the rice and vegetable mixture and cook for about 2 minutes. Now, if you want to add an egg at this point, you can push the rice all to the sides of the pan and crack and scramble the egg in the middle of the saucepan and then incorporate it into the rice once it is cooked.

Next step is to add some seasoning. If I’m fixing chinese food, I add in 2 tsps of Light Soy Sauce. If I’m fixing Hibachi, I add in 2 tsp of Teriyaki sauce. Stir well and taste. If you want a stronger flavor, add in more sauce. Add in 1 tsp of sesame seeds, salt/pepper to taste and you are done! Serve and enjoy!
