It is almost time for school to start back here! I don’t know about you, but when school starts back, things get a bit crazy since all the extracurricular activities start back as well. That can make getting dinner on the table a complete mess. These 10 easy dinner recipes will help you get dinner on the table fast!

This Dirty Rice Recipe is super easy and fast! You can dial down the heat if your kiddos don’t like a lot of spice by using less cajun seasoning. You can even make the meat mixture ahead of time on the weekend and freeze it! Simple thaw, reheat in a large saucepan and combine with the rice!

This is one of my all time favorites and so super easy. You put the pork in the crock pot, and then about 30 minutes prior to dinner, shred and combine with your favorite BBQ sauce to simmer on the stove. This too can be made ahead of time and frozen.

Easy is the name here! This meal comes together in less than 30 minutes. The meat mixture again can be made ahead of time and frozen. To use, thaw out and reheat in a large saucepan and combine your cooked macaroni noodles. You can have this dish with healthier pasta like Dreamfields or use regular macaroni noodles!

Need something a bit different from the traditional taco night? Try Burrito Bowls. You can recreate eating at Moe’s, Salsarita’s, or Chipotle in your own home. Each person can make their bowl to their desired liking. The meat can be made ahead of time and frozen, just thaw and reheat. Place all your toppings in bowls and have everyone go through and customize! Easy Peasy!

Another wonderful crock pot meal. Combine all the ingredients in the morning and set it and forget it basically. You will have a wonderfully yummy meal when it comes time for dinner. Fix some rice or mashed potatoes to go with it and everyone will be pleased!


This is a great one for those fall nights as it starts to cool down. Another great crock pot recipe that you can throw together in the morning and have a nice meal ready to go when you get home. Simply add your dumplings and 30 minutes later, you have a wonderful yummy meal!

Can you tell that I love my crock pot? This one will give you some great pork carnitas to use in the burrito bowls or to use for tacos, quesadillas, anything mexican. Great to fix this on the weekend and freeze for a later meal during the week. I do this a lot for quesadillas and pork tacos.

Thaw and bake, or you can bake and then freeze, then simply warm it up each serving in the microwave once the casserole thaws out. Add a little fresh cheese on top and you have a wonderful easy meal that all will love!

These ham rolls are a quick meal to fix when you are really short on time. They cook quickly and are a great grab option for a quick dinner while getting everyone ready to get out the door to practice or other extracurricular activities. Serve with some chips and you are ready to eat!
