Million Dollar Pie - Detours in Life

Recipes that my grandmother used to make for family get togethers are always special to me. She made this one a few times and each time, I LOVED it. I have made this for work pot lucks and everyone loves it as well. You can customize it a little if you need, by leaving out ingredients and adding in new ones. I have left out the coconut and pecans before and also added in maraschino cherries and this recipe keeps tasting wonderful.

This pie comes together so quickly, though you do need to let it set up in the fridge overnight or for at least 6 hours. It will also keep well in the fridge for a few days if you want to keep eating on it until its gone. Let me warn you though, this pie is RICH but oh so yummy!

In a large mixing bowl, mix the lemon juice and condensed milk.

Fold in the cool whip.

Add in your other ingredients – crushed pineapple, oranges, nuts, coconut, and even cherries if you want to add them in. With the pineapple, make sure it is drained well! I usually drain mine and then mash between paper towels to make sure I get it as dry as possible.

Pour the mixture in either 2 regular size graham cracker crusts, or I used one of the larger ones.
